Daniel J. Taylor
| Founder: The American Pet Cross
Dan Taylor is an attorney, accomplished author, international
speaker and a great friend of animals everywhere. He shares his
work and home life in Charlotte, NC with three dogs, Roxanne,
Zack, and Julia along with two cats named Samantha and Joey. His
life partner Christine Sheffield and her daughter Ashley share
his enthusiasm and love for pets. Dan’s purpose in founding The
American Pet Cross was to give Americans everywhere a national
focusing platform for the funding and support of successful existing
animal resource organizations, and the development of new ones.
His innovation in the legal area with the creation of PETCOUNSEL™, and his designation of animal abusers as REGISTERED PET OFFENDERS™
gives a common language for all Americans to animal abusers, and
protects pets everywhere. He has begun the groundwork for expansion
of the PET CROSS idea by creating and registering organizations
in Great Britain (THE BRITISH PET CROSS), Canada (THE CANADIAN
PET CROSS) and Australia (THE AUSTRAILIAN PET CROSS).
Dan’s vision of American Pet Cross is that it is
a collaborative, supportive, and innovative organization for attracting
and funding the best talent, organizations, and causes for pets
everywhere.
